Data Roundtable on the future of CDP's

In the race to personalise experiences, many organisations invested heavily in a Customer Data Platform. But here’s the hard truth: the technology alone is not a solution. Many of these platforms become expensive, underutilised projects that fail to deliver on their central promise.

How can you ensure your investment delivers real business value instead of just becoming another data silo? What architecture, governance, and skills are truly needed for a successful customer data strategy?

Is it still worth investing in a Customer Data Platform in 2026?

Join us at our next data roundtable discussion where we'll tackle the tough questions surrounding Customer Data Platforms. In an era of rapid technological advancement, it's crucial to discuss the relevance and future of CDP's. This event is meant for marketing and data professionals who want to stay ahead of the curve.

To provide a real-world perspective, we're excited to announce that Jeroen Lauwereys, Performance marketeer at Xtra (Colruyt Group), will be joining us to explain their specific CDP approach and journey.

Throughout this roundtable, you'll engage in open discussions over breakfast and lunch on key questions shaping the future of customer data management:

  • The CDP Landscape: How do you navigate the complex and evolving market of CDP vendors?

  • Digital Maturity: Is your organisation truly ready for a CDP? We’ll discuss how to assess your digital maturity to choose the right path and avoid investing in a tool you can't support.

  • Architecture: How should a CDP fit into your broader data architecture? We’ll explore the critical relationship with data warehouses and the strategic shift towards composable CDPs.

  • Governance: Beyond the technology, what does a robust data governance framework look like? A look into the processes needed to ensure your CDP data is trusted, compliant, and ready for activation.

  • The Role of AI: What is the real impact of AI on the CDP? We'll explore practical applications, from building predictive audiences to automating personalised customer journeys.

  • Business Case & ROI: With high upfront costs and internal skill gaps as major hurdles, how can you build a realistic business case and ROI model for your CDP investment?

  • Roles & Skills: What does the ideal team look like to drive value from a CDP? We’ll discuss the necessary roles and skills to move from data collection to true customer activation.

  • Real-World Insights: Learn from the successes and failures of organisations navigating these exact challenges with their own Customer Data Platforms.

Why this matters: A Customer Data Platform represents a significant investment in technology, time, and resources. Yet, many organisations struggle to move beyond implementation to activation and ROI. This discussion cuts through the hype to provide a clear, strategic view on the state of the CDP market. It’s critical for making informed decisions that avoid costly mistakes and ensure your customer data foundation is built for future success.

Why should you attend?

The promise of a unified customer view has led many to invest in CDPs. Yet, the path to a successful CDP implementation is often filled with challenges. Many organisations struggle with high upfront costs, a lack of the right skills within their teams, and a failure to demonstrate ROI, leading to the common sentiment: "CDP's suck."

This roundtable will provide a comprehensive look at the state of the CDP market in 2025 and explore its evolution. We won't just dwell on the problems; we'll look to the future, discussing the rise of CDP-as-a-Service and the emerging role of AI in unlocking new value from customer data.

A Customer Data Roundtable is not a lecture, it’s an interactive learning and inspiration sessions hosted at the MultiMinds office.

Each session focuses on a specific topic and brings together professionals from different companies. The ideal opportunity to exchange ideas with peers, hear practical experiences, and discover actionable solutions.

Seats for this event are limited to ensure focused, high-value discussions. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exclusive session!
